Dream 7 partners with Gubasavi Productions to bring to life an immersive theatrical experience that tells the story of African Culture as it transitions into African American culture through the transatlantic slave trade.

Originally founded in 2001 in Nashville, TN, by Michael L. Walker, the now nationally recognized Dream 7 has been cultivating the essence of African American history for 21 years. Through staged readings, plays, and choreo-poems, Dream 7 Theatre Productions continues to be adept in developing New Works in the Middle Tennessee region. Dream 7 is a 501c3. Dream 7 and Gubasavi Productions received a Partnership Thrive Grant from Metro Arts. However, funding was delayed and reduced. Although we expected to raised additional funds, the budget shortfall is now much more than originally projected. Therefore, our goal is to raise $10,000 US Dollars for the following expenses:

  • Actor/Performer compensation

  • Production team compensation

  • Creative team compensation

  • Set Design Materials

  • Costumes

  • Venue rentals and fees

  • Promotion, Marketing, & Social Media Design

  • Graphic Design

  • Workshop Facilitators
